The Big Bounce Back: Finding Your Rhythm in 2026
Share

Happy New Year, Back to Balance community!
If you were anywhere near the coast this holiday, you might have heard the rhythmic thwack-thwack of beach bats. We spent some time on the sand this year, and it struck me how much those games are like our health journeys.
In beach bats, there’s no net and the goal is simply to keep the ball in the air. Sometimes you are in a perfect flow, and sometimes you have to dive into the sand to make a save.
The holidays are often that "dive into the sand." Between the festive treats, travel and late nights, our gut health and our routine often takes a backseat. But the beauty of a new year is not about being perfect; it is about the bounce back.
Making Health Your Priority (Again)
As we step into 2026, don’t look at your health goals as a chore. Instead, think of them as your way of staying in the game.
If you have been feeling sluggish, bloated or just "off-balance" after the December indulgence, now is the time to pick the bat back up. Resetting your gut and health is not just about digestion; it is about regaining the energy to play, work and thrive.
How to start your 2026 bounce back:
- Hydrate first: Flush out the holiday "noise."
- Listen to your body: Are you actually hungry, or just in a holiday habit?
- Commit to a focused "Reset Month": Consider a structured approach like Dry January (or even Dry Feb!) to give your liver a break, or start our Gut Health Reset to follow a professional elimination protocol. A dedicated 30-day window is often all it takes to break old habits and see real results.
- Find your type: If you haven’t taken our Gut Type Questionnaire lately, re-test yourself. Your body changes seasonally, and your reset should too.
Let’s make 2026 the year of resilience. No matter how many times the ball drops, we are here to help you hit it back across the line.
